The parish church of the Assumption of Mary stands out above the town centre, with a fortress-like appearance and a Gothic structure completed in the 16th century. The altarpiece from this period remains intact. The Plaza Mayor, where the church is located, has a series of palatial houses of decent size, as well as the 18th century Casa del Indiano, in a nearby street.
